Bright and beautiful with hot tub and ocean view. Off the historic Red Road near Kehena Beach and Pohoiki, Hale Kukui Ola is a peaceful vacation home with a great location for exploring The Big Island of Hawai'i. Bask on the sunny ocean view lanai, soak in the private hot tub after a day adventuring and enjoy the home's gorgeous landscaped yard. More amenities at Hale Kukui Ola include an outdoor shower, multi level decks, and a BBQ gas grill. With two stories and two bedroom suites, you've got a lot of room to spread out and enjoy traveling in style. Occupancy is 4 guests to keep to the quiet nature of our area, thank you!

The main part of the home features an open-concept living, dining and kitchen room with soaring windows to let in the sun and ocean views! The lanai has both covered and uncovered areas for both sun-worshipers and shade lovers alike. The air-conditioned master bedroom has a comfortable Cal-king bed, ceiling fan and an en-suite bathroom with shower. The living area has a samll flat screen TV, WiFi and DVD player. Up the stairs is a bright loft with a queen bed, separate work space and glorious ocean views. The first level "ohana" (separate bedroom suite) is entirely separate with its own entry, queen size bed and full bathroom. We welcome up to 4 guests in our home.

Enjoy our gardens and floral landscaping. We take great pride in the varieties of local flowering plants, tropical fruits and exotic flora here. Our little neighborhood offers a perfect growing climate and you may encounter pop-up fruit stands, enjoy!

Kalapana Seaview Estates is off-the -beaten-path along the scenic Red Road of the Lower Puna district of the Big Island. We are close to the brand new (2018) black sand beach at Pohoiki (Isaac Hale Beach Park), Uncle Robert's Wednesday Night Market and extraordinary lava flow museums and site-seeing in and around Pahoa Village! For eco-friendly, adventure travelers, romantics and those wanting to 'get away' this is a PERFECT spot!

  The rental is located in a more remote area of the island and offers a very peaceful, relaxing experience but is still only a short 9 mile drive to the next town for restaurants and groceries. The property is beautifully landscaped with probably a hundred tropical, flowering plants and trees with several shady and sunny sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors. The interior was nice and met all of our needs. The air condition in the master bedroom was definitely a plus for sleeping.

  We had a wonderful stay at Hale Kukui Ola. The house had a bright beachy decor and the gardens around the yard were gorgeous. The home was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you need, even a welcome basket full of fresh tropical fruits. It was great to have the hot tub on the property too to relax in. The house was very close to Kehena black sand beach, the lawn for Sunday night drum circles, and Uncle Roberts. Jessica & Shawna from Salt Water Vacations are awesome, very professional and answered any questions promptly. We highly recommend this five star property and look forward to working with Salt Water Vacations again for future travel to the Big Island.

  Three adults rented the beautiful, spacious, and nicely decorated home and found it an ideal spot to explore lower Puna and Hilo environs from. The neighborhood is quiet and charming and the home is close the neighborhood park, overlook and other spots to enjoy the ocean views. We prepared our Thanksgiving meal in the ample and well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed the living rooms, found the beds very comfortable, and the house an ideal launching pad for our adventures.

  This was a lovely and affordable compound complete with hot tub and views of the water. House gets a bit warm in the daytime, with A/C only in the master bedroom. There is enough space to comfortably fit 4-5 people. We made a change request to the Salt Water team and they were kind to refund us for leaving a day early.

  Nice view, it was nice to be out of town, quiet neighborhood, lots of natural light, enjoyed the hot tub. Well stocked supplies and house was very clean. All appliances were in great working order. The A/C in the master suite was great, on a side note that was the only room with A/C.
